Open Joint Stock Company "Belelektromontazh" is one of the oldest organizations in the Republic of Belarus, successfully operating for over 80 years in the construction markets of both the Republic of Belarus and Russia, CIS countries and far abroad.
The main areas of activity are electrical installation and commissioning of external and internal engineering networks of power supply, lighting, communications, radio, television, instrumentation at industrial facilities, housing, social and cultural facilities, healthcare, communications, individual construction, etc.
The history of the origin of the enterprise "Belelectromontazh" is as follows.
Until 1917, there were no domestic electrical installation organizations on the territory of Belarus. The electrification that began to develop at that time was carried out by the forces of the German company Siemens-Schuckert.
During the civil war, German and Polish occupation, small enterprises and factories in Belarus were destroyed and fell into decay. Their fastest restoration and development of modern industry were required. In 1920-1925. electrical work in Belarus was carried out by artisanal artels. In 1925, with the establishment of the State Electrotechnical Trust (GET) in Minsk, an office of electrical work was organized, headed by a young electrician Novodvorsky N.M. In 1929, the office was transformed into the Minsk Assembly Department, which took over all electrical installation work in Belarus.
As part of the Minsk branch, the Minsk, Vitebsk and Gomel sections functioned, and central workshops were created, which were subsequently reorganized into an electrical installation plant. In 1939, after the organization of Glavelektromontazh and the Sevzapelektromontazh trust, the Minsk branch was reorganized into the Minsk design and installation department of the Sevzapelektromontazh trust.
During the Great Patriotic War, Belarusian electricians, together with the industry of Belarus, were evacuated to the regions of the Urals and Siberia, where a large number of facilities were put into operation in a short time.
In 1944, after the liberation of the first Belarusian regional center - the city of Gomel, the Belenergoproektstroy trust was organized in the city of Gomel to restore the destroyed electrical facilities by the resolution of the Council of People's Commissars of the BSSR as part of Glavenergo.
After the liberation of Minsk, the trust moved to the capital, where at the end of July 1944 the Minsk regional office was organized (currently the 2nd Minsk assembly department). In order to restore power plants in the cities of Novogrudok and Grodno, assembly sites are being created in the same year.

In 1944, the pre-war Minsk assembly department of the Leningrad trust "Sevzapelektromontazh" (currently the 1st Minsk assembly department) resumed its work. Signs changed, departmental affiliation, merging with other organizations, the trust was gaining strength. Since 1964 it has acquired its present face and name - "Belelektromontazh".
Together with the industry of the republic, electrical installation production grew and improved. “Belelektromontazh” was practically the only organization in the Republic of Belarus that performed electrical work on the territory of the republic. Its specialists and workers were rebuilding the national economy destroyed by the war, providing the liberated regions with electricity.
Veterans of the organization, walking along the streets of the Belarusian capital, can name the houses and objects in which they have put all their soul and skill. These are the Opera and Ballet Theater, the Belarusian Drama and Russian Theaters, the State University, other universities of the Belarusian capital, automobile, tractor, motorcycle and bicycle, motor factories, worsted plant in Minsk, Belaz plant in Zhodino, Minsk metro, housing, social and cultural facilities , health care, today they are countless ... No less responsible work was carried out in the regions of the republic. With the help of Belarusian electricians, the Belarusian Tire Plant, the Belorusskali Association, oil refineries in Mozyr and Novopolotsk, Grodno Azot, cement plants and many other facilities were put into operation.
